Games making with Girl Guides for Cardiff Science Festival

In September 2020 Impact Gamers ran “Impact Games” a project to work with Girl Guiding Cymru and Cardiff University for Cardiff Science Festival 2021.

We remotely trained up university students in games making.

We then supported these students to run workshops with Girl Guide groups in South Wales. Their task was to make a game based off some current research happening by a female scientist.

The results were incredible. See them and play them below.

What to win a BAFTA for your ideas?

BAFTA run a Young Games Designer competition, the deadline is March 15th. You still have time to submit your ideas!

You can either submit a game, or an idea. There are two awards within this category – one for 10 to 14 year olds, and one for 15 to 18 year olds.
